Large men’s leather shoulder bag with strap, fully made in Italy, perfect to carry all the items you need at work. The use of the genuine cowhide, a hand-vegetable tanned leather, offers maximum resistance in any situation, especially in case of carrying heavy object. It is no coincidence that this leather is also used for suitcases and soles of shoes. Opening with a magnet flap, this men leather messenger bag inside has a single large compartment lined with precious monochrome fabric, a zipper pocket and two open pockets. It is a practically bag which allows to carry laptop up to 15', tablet, books and documents up to the A4 format. In the open pockets you can also hold the block notes, while the one with zipper is ideal for your wallet, being resealable. Externally, another pocket is located under the magnet flap and a last zippered can be found on the back of the bag. This is perfect for items you need most during the day, such as the keychain. In addition, even the shoulder strap is handmade and entirely adjustable. This bag is dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci, the genius of the Renaissance.

Leather:
Known all over the world, the Tuscan cowhide leather is made using a particular vegetable tanning process which is exclusively done by hand. As durable as possible, so much that in the past in Florence it was used for the footwear of shepherds and military, the cowhide leather has also its own poetic characteristic that assimilates it to a chameleon. In fact, it is able to change color over time, as if it could fit its look every year, becoming also a little softer more. The production of our entire collection uses only leather from the food industry, so as no animal is directly slaughtered.

Painting process:
The vegetable tanning process makes the cowhide leather unique, thanks to the main use of natural materials such as tannin extracted from plants (mimosa or chestnut). This is visible especially using the bag over time, watching how it’s able to change its color over time depending of the exposure to the sunlight and the frequency of use. What this ancient painting technique generates is a unique piece of art, in which every bag is different from others. Even today Tuscany keeps the tradition of the process, being the first place in Italy for the production of vegetable tanned leather products.

Who wouldn't want a bag that lasts forever? Well, it depends not only on the material, but also on the treatment it undergoes. Our cowhide leather for example allows you to try to remove the surface scratches that are a sign of wear and this is made possible only by the particular hand-vegetable tanning process we use, which let the color to be absorbed into the depth of the leather. If the very surface part of the color is removed, using a simple cloth and a natural cream you can try to restore it.
