Description:
This recycled leather keychain is fully handmade in Florence and it represents the Florentine Dome of the Santa Maria del Fiore. The roof of the dome and the windows are made in a different color from the leather, in order to create a beautiful visual contrast. The top of the keychain is composed of a silver metal ring, connected with a leather-colored rope. It is handmade in Italy.
Material:
The recycled leather is made by compressing together the production rejects of bags and belts, which would otherwise be wasted, polluting. Those are than mixed with a particular glue, generating a new great material. Later the sheet obtained is colored and carved
Decoration:
The decoration is made before the assembly process, using the silver leaf applied to heat, in a handmade processing. Although it may seem like a purely aesthetic element, the silver decoration is also an important symbol of Florence, since the city is known in the world for the processing of leather and of precious materials such as gold and silver.
Back:
On the back of the keychain there’s the FP logo and the Made in Italy certification.
